Student Email
Every student will receive a North Hennepin Community College email. Your email will become active 62 days before the start of your semester. When signing into your email you will have to go through the process of setting up a secondary authentication method for added security. You can watch the video here for a walkthrough of the setup. You will also need to reset your password once your email is enabled for the system to synchronize. Which you can do on the StarID password reset site. Learn more about accessing your student email.
Complimentary Printing
No need to buy or lug a printer to campus! North Hennepin Community College provides a complimentary $5 print credit to students at the start of each semester which covers the cost of approximately 50 black and white pages of printing or 12 color pages. You can use this from any computer on campus, or by installing the PaperCut software on your personal laptop. Learn more about printing on campus.
Microsoft Office Provided Free
North Hennepin Community College provides the full Microsoft Office suite for students to download on up to 5 personal devices (including both Mac and PC). We also are part of Office 365, giving students access to cloud-based versions of Microsoft's apps like Outlook (for your campus email), Word, Excel, and PowerPoint so you can communicate and work on class assignments from any web browser on any computer. Office 365 also includes 1TB of personal file storage in the cloud to save documents and share files for group projects.
