Steps to Connect: 

Your laptop will have the Cisco Secure Client application already installed.


1. Launch Cisco Secure Client

Open the Cisco Secure Client application on your computer.

2. Enter the VPN Server Address

In the Connect field, type the following: 

vpn.nhcc.edu

Then click the Connect button.

3. Microsoft Sign-In

You will be redirected to the Microsoft login screen.

Enter your credentials in the following format:

StarID@minnstate.edu
Example: ab1234cd@minnstate.edu

Click Next and enter your password when prompted.

4. Complete Multi-Factor Authentication (if prompted)

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the verification process.

5. VPN Connection Established

Once authenticated, the Cisco Secure Client will establish a secure connection to the NHCC network. You should now see a "Connected" status.

Disconnecting from the VPN

When you're finished working or no longer need access to internal resources, follow these steps to disconnect:

1. Open Cisco Secure Client

If the application is minimized, click the Cisco Secure Client icon in your system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac) to reopen it.

2. Click the Disconnect Button

In the main window, click the Disconnect button.

You will see the status change to "Disconnected", confirming that you are no longer connected to the VPN.
