Eduroam - Wireless Network

Summary

Connecting to the campus eduroam wireless network

Body

Overview

"eduroam (education roaming) is the secure, world-wide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across campus and when visiting other participating institutions by simply opening their laptop."

NHCC uses eduroam as its primary Wi-Fi network. If you are a student, faculty or staff member, eduroam should be the primary wireless network used while on campus.

There are several methods that can be used to configure a device to connect to the eduroam wireless network. Users are encouraged to use either the Configuration Assistant Tool (CAT) or "geteduroam" app for mobile devices which streamline and automate some of the configuration steps while adding emphasis on a secure installation. CAT information, to include setup instructions, software, and operating system profiles, can be found at https://cat.eduroam.org
