Overview

An important first step in troubleshooting eduroam connection issues is to forget the network on your device. This removes any outdated credentials or configuration that may cause authentication errors. Use this article to remove the eduroam profile before attempting to reconnect. 

Instruction

Step 1: Forget eduroam on Android

  1. Go to Settings → Connections → Wi‑Fi.
  2. Locate eduroam in the list of saved networks.
  3. Press and hold (long-press) eduroam, or tap the gear icon next to it.
  4. Tap Forget.

Step 2: Forget eduroam on Chromebook

  1. Click the Wi‑Fi icon in your system tray.
  2. Select Manage Wi‑Fi networks (or Settings).
  3. Find eduroam, click Forget.

Step 3: Forget eduroam on iPhone, iPad, or macOS

  1. Open SettingsWi‑Fi (on iOS) or System Preferences → Network → Wi‑Fi → Advanced (on macOS).
  2. Find eduroam in the list of known networks.
  3. Tap or click Forget Network (iOS) or (macOS) then Remove.

Step 4: Forget eduroam on Windows 11

  1. Open Settings → Network & Internet → Wi‑Fi.
  2. Click Manage known networks.
  3. Find eduroam and click Forget.

Step 5: Forget eduroam on Windows 8 / 10

  1. Click the Network icon in the taskbar→ Network & Internet settings.
  2. Select Manage Wi‑Fi settings.
  3. Under Manage known networks, select eduroamForget.
